About the GROOVE SURFERS

Victoria is our lead singer.  She was trained internationally in Choir.  Currently sings with Blues Street Jazz, a local professional Jazz Vocal Choir performing regularly in the Seattle area.  Victoria joined The Groove Surfers in 2023. While missing the 80's by a couple decades, Victoria has mastered the music.  Her voice is captivating.  All eyes are on her as we play one massive hit after another.

Pedro is a highly experienced drummer and percussionist.  He is a former member of Spike and the Impalers.  Pedro grew up playing drums in cover bands in Argentina.  He moved to the U.S. and became a citizen while working in media in Seattle.  He, and his wife Luciana, were producers and cast members of the Radio Hall of Fame program, the Bob Rivers Show.  Pedro has been a part of numerous cover bands and original bands over the years, always willing to take on any show as long as his hands are moving.  Pedro has been the heartbeat of  The Groove Surfers for the past decade.

David is our other lead singer.  He has fronted numerous cover bands including Rain City Time Machine and Tumbling Dice, a Rolling Stones tribute band. David is a music trivia nerd, can tell you every #1 record from 1976 to 1992, that's the 80's!  With his music knowledge, he survived for 8 weeks on the first season of the Rob Lowe game show, The Floor.  David joined the band in May of 2024.  

Chris is our lead guitarist, and he's a great backup singer with the ability to add a third harmonic dimension to our music.  He's a purist. He studies every note, but knows when it makes sense to inject a little extra to liven up a song.  Chris is a long-time member of the South Sound band, Chicken Joe and the Fabulous Cocks, and has performed with the Wayward Souls, Pull Toy, Metropolis, Equinox, and Treated and Released.  He Joined The Groove Surfers in early 2024.

Jill plays keyboards and sings backup.  Harmonies make a good band great.  Jill excels with harmonies and is the secret sauce for Groove Surfer greatness.  Her keyboard skills are perfection.  Every song she plays sounds like it's coming directly from the recording.  Jill has years of experience playing in local cover bands like Wayward Souls, Metropolis, Equinox and Treated and Released.  She joined The Groove Surfers in early 2024.

Jeff is one of the founders of the band.  He plays Rythm Guitar and often steps off to engage the crowd on the dance floor with swag and other fun nonsense.  Jeff is a product of the 80's.  In high school, he famously wore Billy Squire inspired red leather pants whenever appropriate, or not.  He's a UW tennis alum with the same racket work on the guitar.  He's grown this band from the start, evolving through all the eras but landing it on the best... The 80's

Kevin cofounded The Groove Surfers with Jeff back in the 90's.  He plays bass with a pick, like a true 80's punk should.  Kevin and Jeff picked up guitars while in college at UW and never put them down.  Most 80's songs are great the way they are, but some need a boost of energy.  Kevin's passion is taking a weak song and making it fly.
